Grigory Mikheev Vessel, Antarctica XXI

The "Grigoriy Mikheev" is a comfortable and modern research vessel. She belongs to the Hydrographic Institute of Saint Petersburg and was built in Finland in 1990.

Her hull is reinforced for sailing in ice and therefore, best suited for such tours or expeditions. Her length is 66 meters and her beam, 12.8 meters. She has a depth of 3.5 meters and displaces 2,000 tons. She has two powerful engines that allow a speed of up to 12 knots.

The "Grigoriy Mikheev" has a capacity of 46 passengers in cabins over the main deck. In addition to a dining room, lounge/ bar/ library, she has an infirmary and sauna. The ship has Zodiac boats that are well suited for disembarking and wild life watching.

6 Twin cabins without private facilities
bath have upper and lower berths and wash basins. Shared shower and toilet facilities are conveniently located on the same Deck 3.
14 Twin Cabins with private facilities
are located on Decks 3 and 4 and have upper and lower berths.
3 Superior cabins with private facilities
located on Deck 4, they have a low queen bed and a separate sofa-bed.
